New to PDX

Just a few days ago we had our first snowfall of the winter. Although the weatherman predicted otherwise, all of a sudden thick puffy snow started coming down to surprise the entire city.

Portland doesn't usually get much in the way of snow, and although there are exceptions, it usually disappears fairly quickly. It's a good thing too, because the traffic and even public transportation come to a grinding halt as Portlanders are unaccustomed to driving through ice and slush.

So if you see it's snowing outside your window: grab a coat and run outside to enjoy to white stuff while it lasts.
